Hi! My name is Lisa Hamada and I’m a licensed mental health counselor with over 25 years of experience specializing in CBT and ACT for couples, individuals and families. The primary focus of my practice has been helping people learn the strategies necessary for healthy communication and positive growth. I also facilitate psycho-educational groups for both parents and children, which have had a significant impact on our community.
Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques, I help clients become more self-aware and learn how to better manage their emotions and relationships. In assisting clients to recognize their struggles and take ownership of what needs to change, I empower them to set goals that will positively change their lives and the lives of those around them.
My approach is straightforward, effective and can help those in need who are ready to be accountable and truly want to make a change for the better.
